This is an estimate, not advice
CheckGratuity produces estimates of end-of-service entitlements for general information. It is not legal, employment, payroll, accounting or financial advice, and using it does not create a professional relationship of any kind. Before making a decision that depends on these numbers — resigning, accepting a settlement, or filing a complaint — speak to a qualified professional.
Why your settlement may differ
Your final payment depends on your contract, your employer's records of your service and unpaid absence, any amounts you owe your employer, and entitlements this calculator does not model — unused annual leave, notice pay, overtime and repatriation. Free zones with their own employment regimes, including the DIFC and ADGM, are not covered here. A difference between this estimate and your settlement is normal.
Who this applies to
The calculator models end-of-service gratuity for expatriate workers in the UAE private sector under Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021. UAE nationals fall under the pension and social security system instead, and are not modelled.
Accuracy and sources
Rules are transcribed from the UAE government's published guidance and the underlying legislation, and the source is named on the page that uses it. Law changes and guidance is revised — we make no warranty that any figure is current, complete or correct at the moment you read it.
No affiliation
CheckGratuity is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Securities and Commodities Authority, any free zone authority, or the UAE government. Names of ministries, laws and resolutions are used only to describe what the calculator models.
Limitation of liability
