End of service calculator. The whole settlement.
Gratuity is one line of your final settlement. This adds the rest — unused annual leave, notice pay and outstanding dues — and keeps each one on the salary basis the law actually assigns it.
Gratuity and leave are paid on this.
Basic plus allowances. Notice is paid on this.
You would have accrued roughly 150 days over this period.
Contracts run 30–90 days. Enter 0 if you worked your notice.

Two salary bases, not one
The law pays gratuity and unused leave on your basic salary, explicitly excluding housing, transport, utilities and furniture allowances. Notice, on the other hand, entitles you to your full wage for the period. Most settlement calculators take one salary figure and apply it everywhere, which either inflates your gratuity or understates your notice — often by more than the gratuity itself.

What this does not cover
- Free zones with their own employment regimes, including the DIFC and ADGM.
- UAE nationals, who fall under the pension and social security system rather than gratuity.
- Air ticket or repatriation allowances, which depend on your contract rather than the law.
- Compensation for arbitrary dismissal, which a court assesses and caps at three months’ wage.
Questions
What is included in a UAE final settlement?
End-of-service gratuity, payment for any unused annual leave, pay for a notice period you were not asked to work, and any outstanding wages or reimbursements. Your employer may deduct amounts you owe them from the total.
Is notice pay calculated on basic salary or full salary?
Full salary. The law entitles you to your full wage for the notice period, based on your most recent salary — unlike gratuity and unused leave, which are both calculated on basic salary alone. If your allowances are large, this difference is the biggest single item in your settlement.
How much annual leave do I accrue?
Thirty fully paid days a year once you have completed a year of service. Between six and twelve months of service, you accrue two days for each month. If you leave before using it, unused leave is paid out on your basic salary.
How long is the notice period?
Between 30 and 90 days, as agreed in your contract. It can be shortened or waived by mutual agreement, and it must be the same for both sides unless the difference favours the worker.
When must my employer pay the settlement?
Within 14 days of the end of the contract.
